The Junkman is back to explore the sounds that can be made with a common household toy and a homemade wooden drum!
After a brief summer hiatus, The Junkman is back with a whole bunch of new sounds and objects for his Salvage Super Sounds series. First up, an old drum head. Happy new school year, everyone. Stay safe and be kind to each other and Mother Earth!
Musical instruments are all around us as witnessed in this week's clip wherein The Junkman uses a set of plastic shipping blocks to create beautiful sounds. (And yes, Mrs Junkman knows better than to throw anything in the recycling bin before letting her husband listen to it first!)
The Junkman explores how many sounds he can create from a single object-- a metal pot that he repurposes as a drum.
Have some jar lids or bottle tops handy? Join The Junkman as he shows you how to play those tops like castanets. It's so easy, you may even have time to learn the flamenco. Olé!
